Is this self-promotion in its highest? Hey read my blog so you can download my music. I just recorded this today. It's really noisy screamo. Please enjoy. We had a hard time recording these and singing them because we all suck pretty bad, but hey what'dya gon' do. This Saturday I'm giving this to a guy I know who makes shows and maybe we'll be a "real band". Anyway, this is like 9 minutes long and we're really "fun" guys and this music is a lot of "fun".

Merchant Ship's Discography
It's 12:58 AM, and I can't sleep.
Not in the regular way, as in, "I'm not tired, I can't sleep." I'm tired as fuck. I wish I would just lay down, but... It's a dead night. There's a painting in my head, and I can't stop thinking it. I want to sleep. I don't have anything to do tomorrow, I want to sleep.
Merchant Ships is a band that broke up in 2009, then got back together. They're really damn good. It's one of those bands I wish I was in. There are a lot of those. It's the perfect music for watching your best friend ruin his life, viewing your girlfriend killing your ambitions, missing friends you know you'll never see again, smoking away the night with new ones, thinking about the only love you've ever wanted, but can't have. It's the teenage condition, and Merchant Ships are the soundtrack.
I have a theory that everything in my life stands for something I feel that I've lost about my childhood. As if I'm trying to gain back innocence and wonder. As if I, somehow, through my actions and words, can travel back in time and spend more afternoons in my backyard digging up rollie pollies. This band is when I would scream. I would scream for hours on end simply to make the noise. Not that I don't still do that, but... I think my escape is working. Wait, not escape. I meant trap.

Late Of The Pier - Fantasy Black Channel
A heartbeat I think I like ;)
This is the best album for dancing and feeling sexy to. You'll nod your head, you'll dance, you'll move those hips, you'll put your hands on your waistline - there's no more space in the woods, not for anyone else, not with what LOTP has done. This album is just fucking sexy, there's not really any other words for it. It's got a seriously 80's vibe going on, you'll just wanna find some black leggings and vibrant green tank tops, put your hair in a cyan headband, and rock out real sexy-like to this. I swear to god. It's so... awesome. Imagine a synthy-er, sexier MGMT, who is much better at falsettos. If nothing else, Bathroom Gurgle and Space & The Woods will rock your fucking hips. You will jam out to this in your car, you will be okay enough with how 80s it sounds to feel hip and like you're reviving the neon decade in your own two hands. Fucking neon.

American Analog Set - From Our Living Room To Yours
We provide the fireworks, you provide the oohs and ahhs
Chilled-out indie rock, sort of post rocky, and very good to be lonely to. It's good study music, background music, music you don't have to listen to so close you can't hear anything else to feel it, but if you do that, you'll be blown away. lots of pretty melodies. tends to drag on, but i like it anyway.

Foals - Antidotes
Cassius, you're second best
This is Foal's first album, and it's a bit dancier in places - I use cassius as an alarm clock to wake the fuck up in the morning, but I can fall asleep to Olympic Airways some of the time. You'll want to dance and sing, it's a little soft, but a little bit dancier than Total Life Forever (which btw the fucking music industry reverted my TLF post back to a draft twice, coooool guys) but you'll know how to sing the words to this too. It's not so cold, a bit less polished, but just as perfect. Depending on the mood, I prefer this to TLF.
Also, I have a stencil of this album, so if you live in Tallahassee and happen to see the man with the mouth on the cover spray painted (link to a shit picture, oh blackberry) somewhere, it was me.

remember how I wrote?
If you can't put this album on and relax (maybe smoke some weed or something if you're into that kind of thing, but that's not my style) and just enjoy the soundscapes, there's something very, very wrong with you. wonderful triphop/downtempo music, it all reminds me of snow, and ice, and chillness, and you should put this on and feel the ice in your body, cooling down that heat of excitement and energy and feeling... let it all drift out. lose yourself in this. it's very easy, i promise.
plus it makes a fucking epic driving soundtrack
